Specifcally the clips on top (shown here....)

Normally google has a plethora of videos but is coming up short this time. (think i am correct in calling it a footwell)

I gave one of the clip things bit of persuasion with the trim tool but it did't just pop off like i was hoping

Anyone done this before??

thank you.

thank you.

There is a little notch in each of the clips, just get a small bladed screwdriver in one end, lever the end up and they pop out.

I did it the other week - the four bits of plastic just cover up the T* screws that hold the trim in. A screwdriver in the end with the hole and they lever out easily.

cheers,

Robin

Why would you want to?
Is there something exciting behind it?!

Yes, a cable route you can use through to the cab battery for those of us more adventurous. (y)

I'm really hoping there is nothing exciting under there at all! Just a void where i can put this cable

Thanks for your help everyone, i'll attack it with a screwdriver once this rain has done one.

You will be okay as long as it's not a monster cable.
I have run our B2B cables along with the towbar cabling through there with plenty of space to spare. (y)

In our previous camper I removed the driver's side one to place the rear camera cables there from outside bringing them up from underneath externally then up the internal trim covering the wheel arch.

just a reverse camera wire and 2x speaker cable

fed up of having to play the kids audio books at full volume so they can hear them in the back and also of pranging things.

The rhd drivers side has good access to the outside rear (grommet already there) for reversing cameras suspension air pipes and the like. The passengers side good access from battery box to internal rear. This side also used for towbar electrics and storage for a strange "box" related to the towbar.

Hard to believe but I've seen a compressor for the airbags on the drivers side footwell completely hidden and that is where mine will be going when I get airbags.

This is what the passenger side footwell looks like with the cover off. I removed mine to trace the cables between the starter and leisure batteries when I was changing over to lithium.

If you motorhome is based on a ducato then there is normally a terminal block at the bottom of the B pillar by the drivers door. That includes connections for rear speakers. It is referred to as a coachbuilders socket. I will check and add the PDF about it to the resources section if not already in there

Can I ask - how do you remove the screw on the far left which is below the seat surround - is it a case of removing the plastic cover to the side of the seat ?

Yep we did the same to route our B2B cable from the engine battery back to the leisure battery, through the passenger step and then across behind the wooden step to the rear seats where the B2B & leisure battery are.

As has been said, if you have the original seat bases, you also need to remove the seat side trim unfortunatley - probably the most fiddly part of the job!
