As some of you may know I'm fairly new to Motorhoming.

And, before anyone asks the obvious I'm in the lowest tier area and plan, assuming the same goes next week, and that I will be symptom free and still able to travel to have a couple of nights away.

With that in mind can anyone please recommend a nice location club site or CL with electricity within 2 hours drive time of the West Midlands. Ideally there would be somewhere within walking distance to walk the dog (who likes swimming sea, lake or calm river), and within walking distance of a pub.

Many thanks in advance.

Try the CMC club site Blackmore End, Handley Swan. It is near Malvern.

Broadway c&mc site or Moreton in Marsh , both lovely at this time of year.

Oh I stayed at Moreton in Marsh a couple of nights in September, off to look at Broadway, thanks.

Moreton in Marsh have a dog walk area and it only a 5 minute walk into town. Just about all pubs take dogs.

yes it's a great site. I was really impressed when I stayed in September but I fancy something different this time.

Drop down the m5 and head for uphill marina (google it) . Going there myself again this weekend - perfect little place (but not many shops so stock up)

Ross on Wye.
Lovely walks by the river and lots of pubs restaurants etc in the town.
Just one hour from Birmingham down the M5, M40

Maybe too far, Holgates in Silverdale Lancashire. Nice site good walking close to village pub and morecombe bay for dog. Nice indoor pool shop bar and restaurant.

As you are a CMHC member, log on to the website and do a search. Many CLs have photos and reviews. Do check before going. I know of at least 2 that are on the site but haven’t opened thia year.

Cirencester CMC site on the edge of the Bathurst estate, nice walk into Cirencester through the park. (y)

Cirencester....the most dog-friendly place we’ve ever been to (that’s why we moved here! (y) ;) )
