We've been travelling through Spain,Portugal and now back in Spain and heading north for our last couple of weeks. It's our first roadtrip and we've loved it. Will go for longer next time! Looking for a good site around and within walking /cycling distance of Peniscola. Have found a couple but they look a bit tacky! Anyone have recommendation? Thanks guys and gals..

We stayed at Camping Eden and it was lovely. It's in the Acsi book. Restaurant was very good but it's used most weekends for weddings so not always open. Esy walk into town.

Camping Eden. Perfect for cycling into town or the next town north. The castle is a must-do visit.

Just along the coast from Peniscola is the town of Benicarlo and the Camping Alegria campsite.
The Funsters held a rally here a while ago, and several more have visited this site.
We spent a week or so there and are happy to recommend it. I have not seen or heard of any complaints.
Brisey.

Visimar is only €11 with the ACSI card. It's about 45mins walk south down the sea front to Peniscola. It's not as far north as Benicarlo.

Depending on what you want, there is a car park that charges 6€ for days parking , no putting chairs or awnings out but 20 yards from the beach, a little further on than camping Eden. It does have a toilet. Very good security. Barriers and high fencing..man on duty at gate.
We used it for 2 days and walked into town.
Only motorhomes use it.

I haven't. But I'll find them later if you want me to. But it's easy to find. Google camping Eden. Go to the end of the road where the road turns Inland to your left and its on that bend. Massive board advertising stop and go campsite. It's behind that board

At the end if the road. As described. Google. Doesn't show it on the picture but it's definitely there as we used it this year.

Got it thanks, looks good. Visimar is OK but it's a long walk to town, this looks half as far. Looked up Camping Eden and they want €22 a night

Camping at Los Pinos was great for us. €12 per night incl Lecky, fantastic showers, pool, restaurant with take away option, and 15 mins cycle ride (not electric bikes) to Penis cola.

We were there last year in our 7.4m motorhome. We had to take our bikes off the rack to get on but it was fine once we did that. Every pitch has water and a kitchen sink! We loved it.
