We are off to The Lincoln Show this week, seems a long way to go without making a stop somewhere else, ideally somewhere in Norfolk on the way back for 2/3 nights.
Have searched CMC Norfolk sites, they dont appear to have any near a beach.
Looking at some independents also with "mixed" reviews. We are not CCC members.
Can any of recommend a nice beach type site, we like it quiet as no kids with us, not fussed about facilities as we are self sufficient, Solar and full stocked bar:D dont mind a CL/CS.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

If coming from Lincoln your first bit of Norfolk on the A17 is running in to Kingslynn. Do you want the NW coast or are you headed across to Cromer etc ?

Not really fussed about NW or SW regions, seen a few near Cromer, but none on the beach as yet.
Thanks everyone for your help, really is much appreciated as there is no better recommendation, than that of a Funster:)(y)
Will have look at the recommendations thus far, and report back.

About 13 miles up from kings Lynn is diglea at snettisham and the beach is a short stroll. Or the beach bar will let you stay on the car park for the night if using the bar or eating there. I guess most of the ones that get straight on to the beach are now static vans as they generate more cash.

I second Scotjimland suggestion, Kessingland is almost on the beach. Laburnum Caravan park at West Runton is on the cliff top great views but at £24.50 a night out of season its expensive.

The Slate Bungalow at Walcott used to let you stay in the car park / field over night, but not sure if they still do.

Stayed at Pinewoods, fantastic showers etc, but dogs are allowed to wander round off the lead. The dogs on leads sign placed in reception is more or less ignored. Reception is quite a hike from the caravan field.

Security let people on site late so you get people hammering in awning pegs at 10.30pm at night.
It's a no tents site, and lots of people get calls if they're out for the day, saying Can you come back as we don't allow tents;). People Got fed up with them trying to explain it's a 'drive away awning '

Also they do chase you off your pitch at 10.30am.....

Wouldn't go back
Wasn't impressed.

Again, not on the beach but very close to it.

We’ve stopped going there. They’ve opened a new field for tourers which isn’t exactly near the beach. Their charges have also become extortionate.

Thanks everyone for your Help & Guidance.
Found a CMC at Cromer nearly on the beach, Seacroft Caravan Club Site, as I have been told many times on here, although the site was showing fully booked on-line, a phone call fixed that, and we are booked in now.:) anybody been there?
It will be our first ever CMC site even though we have members for nearly 3 years, and yes they are dearer than the independents we have used thus far at £53.00 for two nights, late September.
Will now actually find out about all this reversing up to the peg business, wish us luck eh:)
Thanks again

We've used it several times without complaint. The only time we were less than 100% happy was in the summer when the site was ram jammed and we were in the middle of the bottom field. No problems but felt a lttle hemmed in. Easy walk in to Cromer, club house on site. We would happily go back again.
