Anyone fancy an 2024 Adria project motorhome from Copart?

Strange that's been written off, it only looks like the skylight is damaged?
Bidding is up to £48k already

There is also a big hole in the floor. Looks like a big tree branch somehow. :-(

It is strange that’s unrepairable though for a 100k motor.

Really 48k? I thought it was down around 42k
I don't think I'd go much over 50k for it, but I agree a busted skylight and tree branch through the floor is hardly the end of the world if repaired right
Unfortunately cat S is on the van for life but I reckon I could have moved in on to some of my traveller friends 🤣

It is a cat S which means it can be repaired and put back on the road.
I bought a brand new Peugeot 205 1.9gti fell off the top rack of the low loader vehicle carrier it got a cat s and i got it repaired for around a grand, drove it for 3 years and sold it as a cat s for a little over what I bought it for 🙂

I've just had a 2 month old 4x4 written off the damage was big but not massive and the bodyshop told insurance companies are written stuff off if there is a chance of the chassis being damaged because alot of them can't be straightened on a jig anymore so that be the case here oh and if you do bid on it I doubt the transport cost will be cheap because it will have to go a recovery lorry

It is a bit bizarre. Tree through the floor and presumably also through the skylight.

It states undercarriage damage?

Wouldn’t it be very likely to have water damage to the interior to sort out?

Also does anyone know what would be under the floor in the area with the new forestry feature? Tanks / pipes etc etc to replace after repairing the floor?

I would like to see the description of the incident on the insurance claim on how they managed to drop onto a tree and smash the roof at the same time. Did they drive over a fallen tree but managed not to scratch/ damage any other parts?

I was assuming that the tree/branch came in through the skylight and exited via the floor.

I bet the driver needed new undies after that tree came througt the skylight. 248 miles on the clock - such a shame but a bargain for somebody hopefully.

now that does make more sense - why didnt i think of that!

still think the other questions remain about damp / under floor damage etc.

Maybe if a funster buys it we can get updates as the repairs are done

Im always looking on copart and wishing i had mechanical skills🤷‍♀️

One wonders why a brand new £100k vehicle has been written off with what appears to be less than £10k of damage.

I guess the insurance company paid out the full value, and then rather than getting it fixed and flogging it for £75k have thought it's not worth the bother.

A bit of a shame, as that Cat 'S' will be with it for life.

Mind you, I guess you just need to know the name of the storm that caused it, and you have a name for the MoHo!

I like the autosleeper thats more my price range 🤣

It's a shame, I hope someone can repair it and give it another life.

...or does that mean that it's not possible to put it back on the road after a possible repair?

Chances are that the owner had 'new for old' insurance which guaranteed a new replacement in the event of major damage, his/her insurance premium could be quite a bit higher now though!

Category S can be repaired & put back on the road with no problems but it will impact its value should you decide to sell or trade it in, but a good buy for some one to repair for them selfs.
