Anyone every stick a Poynting Puck 2 to the roof of their PVC using only the magnet in the base? I like the idea of not having to drill into the roof. Would also allow it to be (re)moved reasonably easily.

I doubt it would stay there for long unless it could be protected from low tree branches etc
It's all of 2" high and would sit below the height of the safari awning, solar panels etc which is both an advantage and disadvantage. I'm thinking more wind resistance and long term weathering to be the problem.

I have one and am aware my roof quite regularly gets swept by low branches in summer.
Suppose it depends on how lucky you feel. I guess if it was knocked off it would just dangle by the cable and maybe reattach itself somewhere ?
