We spotted that structure a few weeks back on our way from Seville. Very sci-fi. It would have made a good piccie but there's hardly any pull-ins on Spanish autopistas.

Seems a good system, it allows continued electricity generation from the stored heat even after sundown.

How long before motor homers take up the mirrors and rock salt alternative to pv panels?

The 'light' is not providing illumination to the panels. It is a light receiver which takes concentrated reflected light from the panels which are mirrors. I don't think we'll see this on a motorhome any time soon. The system requires liquid salt storage, a turbine and the ability to withstand over 500ºC.
Perhaps you could tow it all on an A-frame next time you are visiting Spain!
