Anyone staying at Gravelines tomorrow? What’s the best time to get there?

Not tomorrow but we will be there Sunday evening.
We got there at 5pm just over 3 weeks ago and there was plenty of room.
Or would have been had there not been a rudy great Palace taking up so much room  ;)

We stayed at the one by the rowing course last night - not much help really 😂

I went for the first time a few weeks back and thought it was a nice stop over for the night and an easier drive that day than Strepy where we usually go.

Probably won’t go again as I didn’t feel safe when a rough old Bailey van turned up, lowered the tone of the site.
See a few vans pack up and leave 😂😂

We were there a few weeks ago and arrived about 4pm and there was plenty of room, we even got a spot over looking the marina. We find it's best to arrive at Aires around 3-4pm to stand a chance of getting a spot on busier ones..

I’m struggling to see the attraction🤷‍♂️ Maybe I’ll come with you one time and we can do a bit of electrical fettling en route
Germany is not bad but France has a lot more going for it. Even more Motorhome friendly than Germany, better weather, better food, beaches in the warm bits. The only thing it lacks is all the naked ladies you get in Germany at the beach, lakeside & in the sauna. :giggle:

Of course it never happens unless there’s pictures….😎
In Germany it happens everywhere. Occasionally see signs on beaches "textile beach" it means you are supposed to keep your cossie on but Germans still don't bother. In one swimming pool/sauna complex in Germany I had to go down to the locker room to get some cash to pay for the sauna, wife waiting in her cossi, guy comes out from behind the bar and tugs at her costume pointing out they are not allowed in saunas.

As in Croatia😁😁

Btw is the ticket machine working? Wasn’t working in December🤷‍♂️

No, still a freebie night. Wasn't crowded last week. 3 vans on Quay front when we arrived about 16:15. Quay and grass part both about 30% full by the morning.

It was working a couple of weeks ago when we were there.
Yeah and us, wasn't some Frenchman that said it wasn't working was it.
Regular excuse for them.

Had that at Honfluer, none of the French paid despite 2 other machines working.
