We are thinking of going into Calpe next. Any body there who can tell me if there is room in either of the two new camperstops (or anywhere else) or is everything still full please?

Just noticed you like to wild camp there is a few places in calp. Take the coast road from Moriara to calp when you come to the first roundabout in calp turn right. Keep going straight you will pass aldi and then lidi keep going then you will see where they park on the right.

Thanks to the both of you. Parking on a through road is not what I would call wild camping. How anybody could ever get a decent night's sleep in such circumstances is beyond me.

I do not mind using Aires (official or unofficial), camperstops or campsights. It is all about position and comfort for me.

Drove around Calpe yesterday wow, lots of vans wilding on side roads on Lidl/Aldi road. We are on a rally at Almafra, each to their own but I prefer the security of a campsite they are so cheap over here compared to UK.

Peter, if you don't mind being a little bit out of town, Camping Polar Estrella is a nice quiet site. It is out on the Moriara road up the hill from Calp, just past Grizzlies Restaurant.

Anyone coming to the area it would be prudent to have a back up plan, many of the campsites are rammed, there are a lot of vans here. I’m on a C CC rally at Camping Almafra, campsite has been full and they have been turning away vans. Rally starting to run down now and there does appear to be pitches available this morning if anyone is interested. But phone ahead.

Well thanks to @BreweryDave we are now on Mediteraneo camping at Calpe and booked for over Easter. I think we must have got the last booking when we arrived mid morning. We are on a big pitch but tomorrow we have to move to make room for a big unit. Looking at their booking notes I think it is @BreweryDave that we will be making room for.

So Dave, if you are booked on pitch 21, you owe me the first drink in the bar.

I’d do some squatting Peter till he gets that round or two in, if not empty your waste on the pitch then move...
