We had 2 off 6k LPG bottles fitted and they came we these guages. Neither guage has moved despite cooking and heating on gas. Are they unreliable? Can they be easily fixed? The guages are on the top of the cylinders so the arrow saying to TOP is pointing horizontally??!! Thanks :xThumb:

They don't work until the bottle is about ½ empty as that is the position of the float, yes they are fairly accurate.

so only over the last one third ........ that's helpful but not impressive!

There is no assurance that the gauges are reliable, but they may be easily fixed. If they are not movable, it may be due to corrosion on the mechanism or components inside the gauges. The LPG Valves are a great way to fix it.

Like all similar gauges they only start to show at the lower levels. If you have 2 bottles just have one open so you know when you are about to run-out of gas in one bottle, then you can switch it over and look to refill ASAP.

Jimbohorlicks - this is what we did when we had a 2 bottle set up. How the bottle knew to run out when it as dark windy and wet, I will never know
