We spent 5 lovely weeks in France. Avoid Calais shops as high concentration of migrants Anywhere else is fine. Social distancing can be a problem. Beaches are so crowded:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

We went through the tunnel on 27th August. Spent several days dawdling down through France and now in Italy en Route to Greece, ferry tomorrow.
We used a mixture of aires and wilding spots found on searchforsites and park4night.
Haven’t seen any other U.K. registered motor homes; there are lots about but mainly Dutch or French.
The aires are quiet and the locals seemed happy to see us.
Masks are worn everywhere, but mainly the disposable ones, and often as a chin support, or covering the mouth and not the nose. We have home made fabric masks and got a few sideways glances.
Hi....were you asked voluntarily quarantine for 14 days ??
and did you have to show your " declaration of honour" ??

No requests to quarantine, the French haven't said they want that to happen.
No requests to see any paperwork, or even passports, since the UK side of the tunnel, until I went to collect our ferry tickets at Ancona, but she only wanted proof we had completed the plf.
On arrival at Igoumonitsa we were both tested for COVID, along with everyone else on the ferry.

Very quiet,,everyone wearing masks in the shops, some in the street,,non in bars and restaurants.French not good at SD in supermarket queues..No hand cleaner/basket cleaner in many supermarkets as you enter. Plenty of room on every Aires we have been on.Not see a Brit,German or Dutchman since we arrived other than trucks. Weather fantastic.BUSBY.

We’ve just arrived in Portugal and spent the last 10 days slow timing it through France and Spain. We have had nothing but positives the whole way. Everyone’s being sensible, no bad attitude towards us. Spain is more strict than France or Portugal but life is going on and going on well. We have found the Portuguese very welcoming.
