As the title read, Id be very grateful if anybody knows what it’s called, as I need a new one! Its to adjust the water temperature of our outdoor shower attachment in the garage of our MH. The reason I need a new one is that I cannot turn it to adjust the temp as the gubbins it connects to won’t budge at all to adjust the temp, hence I’ve cracked the plastic as seen in the picture.
id prefer to use the outdoor shower at times (weather permitting and wearing shorts!) as it gives me more room to manoeuvre than the inside cubicle!
so any pointer on how I can free the temperature adjustment too would be gratefully received, I’ve tried WD40 without success……

Have you got a decent plumbers merchant nearby? Might be able to help, if not with the original but something "off the shelf".

I'd bet good money that it would be far cheaper than a "genuine" replacement.

That’s a good shout, thanks! 👍

It's a thermostatic mixing valve.
Like this.

A photo of the other side, inside the van would be useful

Thanks Andy, the link has all sorts of other things attached to it?
That was just an example.
Its really just a mixer tap to regulate what temperature you set it at.
I guessed at 12mm pipe but no idea if that relates to your van set up.

Andy

Also anybody any ideas why I can’t move the valve to adjust the temp? Even with pliers it won’t budge!

Has it not been used in a while?
Valves can seize up if not used..

Andy

I mean the other side of that housing, showing the body of the valve
Ah ok, I think that would be beyond my limitations! I will wait for its next habitation service and see what they can do. The shower works, but the temperature is very hot!

I think you need to free up the valve before putting a new one on!

It's a bit like the TV programme Catchphrase, say what you see, then go to images 👍 and having worked in a parts department for 10 years finding parts for farmers helps 😠

It’s probably never been used. We’ve had the MH 1 yr and I opened the plastic bag for the first time with the shower hose/head in it a month or 2 ago, so I do not think the previous owners had ever used it.

Thanks all for the replies, to be honest, with not having the knowhow it it goes t*ts up, I’ll probably just get the replacement control knob and wait until I have the hab service in a couple of months and get them to try and sort it out!!
