We get several drip drips at the rear of our motorhome from the rain coming off the roof. It's really irritating as its right outside where we sleep. Ive checked and can see it drops off the top of the van onto a small ledge at the bottom of the rear panel. Tried putting a cloth on the ledge but that only works for a while. Can anyone offer a tried and tested solutions please? Thanks

You could move from Lancashire.. Or if that's a bit drastic, could you fit some plenty of people use this.

Where we live is irrelivant to be honest. It's done nothing but rain on our last summer trips down south which is totally overrated, overpriced and generally unfriendly in our experience. Th best weather we had last year as in Scotland! Will have a look at drip stop thanks.

Ever since lighting was by Calor gas.
Many years ago I had the same irritation with a hired m/h. My solution was to use one of my son's toy arrows; about 6" long with a sucker on the end (on both ends some may say) and stick it in the way of the drip's origin which served the same function as a church gargoyle. (y)

Tape a piece of string where it drips from and let it go to the ground, it then won't drip. The rain will just run down the string.

Cheers Joe - that's worth a try. I recall seeing a new building with metal chains hanging from the roof to the floor. When I asked about them I was told it was instead of guttering! Same principle I suppose.

I have a friend who a roofer he went to a Chinese's couples house and they took him upstairs to show him all the strings from the ceilings into buckets to prove the roof leaked, it needed a new roof about 10 years ago.:):)

I've used a strategically placed piece of Sugru, moulded into a drip channel to deflect water to a less annoying path.

Wish read this when I had the last van, the drip was so annoying, right next to my head on the skirt.

I am so sorry for this, but I could not resist suggesting that you shake at least once, more than twice (according to MrA) is just playing with it!:hot:

If you don't like the south, get on a boat to the arctic circle or even better Siberia, where all the rain freezes and don't drip.

Or sling a towel on the roof if you don't like the cold.

It true what Zesport says with air suspension it doesn't drip buy boy oh boy do you get soaked when you go to leave and take it off auto level and you leave the cab door open, but there again it saves all those 50¢ on showers
