We're going to be up north at the end of July for a couple of weeks.
We're staying at Kielder Water for a couple of days and going from there to Windermere.
What I'm looking for is somewhere to go for a couple of nights in between. It can be anything - site, CL, pub stop, even a good wilding spot. The only requirements are that it is somewhere dog friendly and preferably with a decent pub or two within a reasonable (short!) walk.
I was thinking maybe venture over the border to Jockland.
