As the title suggests. We've just acquired a spinning wheel and I'm building a rigid heddle loom. Currently spinning a fleece we were given while parked up at a THS.

I come from a long line of Lancashire weavers and spinners as I found out doing my family tree.
Sadly I can`t thread cotton onto a needle !

I dont know much about weaving, but I do know that an old Lancashire loom used to make about £50 in scrap. Have broken thousands of em up back in the day and used the wooden shuttles for firewood on the woodburner. The shafting was the most valuable along with the belt wheels.
