Whilst away in France,my maxview target automatic satellite system stopped working.According to the user manual 3 orange lights on the panel meant the dish hadn't correctly returned to its resting position ie flat to the roof.I rang Maxwell who suggested it may have been caught in a strong wind and probably just needs adjusting.Needless to say it wasn't going to be as simple as that.As it states 3 year warranty I wasn't too concerned. However that warranty requires me to go back to the dealer who will remove it and ithen send it back to Maxwell for investigation. As this would mean a near 300 mile round trip, probably twice I wondered if anyone could suggest another solution?Let me just add I will never buy from a dealer that far away again,no matter how could thevdeal is.

I had a similar problem with my Maxview Seeker which came up with an error code when it didn’t park correctly
Maxview correctly diagnosed the fault as a bad connection in the multi plug under the base caused by dampness
It was a fairly easy fix which involved undoing the six 10mm nuts and lifting the whole dish of the mounting plate and drying out the multi plug and spraying it with electrical switch cleaner and reassembling

Thanks Neil that was just the information I was hoping for.I will get up there and take a look.Again appreciate your input.

I returned my sat box to Maxview for investigation when I kept getting an intermittent fault whilst trying to raise the dish. They said there wasn’t anything wrong with it. I continued to get the fault and videoed the problem and sent that to my dealer. I was then asked to take the van back for investigation. One week later they told me there as nothing wrong with it because the could not replicate the issue. I said there quite clearly was as an issue because you have seen the video. I asked them to dismantle it and send the complete system back to Maxview for investigation. They refused unless I agreed to pay if Maxview couldn’t replicate the issue. I took the van home and within two days the problem was back. I sent more videos and a complaint to Maxview (useless) and AutoTrail (useless) however, dealer has now agreed to dismantle it and send back for investigation. This has been ongoing since September 2018, 6 months after the van was delivered as new and I will be returning it at the end of October; so hopefully, I will get it fixed then. Good Luck(y)
