Having spent most of the day transferring the stuff we've accumulated over the past 17 years into our new (to us) Dethleffs we are pleased to say that we are still on talking terms. However we didn't appreciate just how much storage space we had in the Frankia. Anyway, to the point of this post, while going through the draws of the Dethleffs we came across what appears to be a dump valve. What we don't know is whether it is something that belongs to the van or if it is something from an accessory such as a water barrel or waste hog. Any ideas?
The spigot with the seal on it is approx. 25mm (1") diameter.

Yes, drain plug, there should be a red screw on cap on the water tank, feel inside for the bung, it fits on with the arm up, and then press it down to seal.

Inclined to break if very cold. Replacement about £12. The bung looks a bit grubby to be in the water tank.

I was coming back from taking it into storage when the thought crossed my mind that it might be from the water tank. The only thing that put me off this idea was :-
a) it was considerably larger than the one in the Frankia,
b) it looked a little grubby for fresh water use.
However I will check it out. Thanks for the input.
