We have had our motorhome since 2008 and although used abroad every winter we have never done much touring in the UK . We now have some time from 12th Sept to 3rd Oct (ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao) and would like to visit the Lake District (never been) and have booked into the Lincoln rally 21st/25th Sept . We like to be on EHU and have toilets/showers. Any good suggestions??

Being based in West Cumbria we tend to use the local CS sites so no toilets but if you're ok with that then Lakes and Fells CS is cracking and next to Windermere on the SW corner. Also like Shepherds View CS near. Oniston but there is also a C&MC site at Coniston. For a larger site we also use Ravenglass ( but not too large) and can then use the La'al Ratty steam train to go up to Eskdale where we have also camped. Eskdale did have a length restriction on MHs.
