Safeguard - sorted us out on three occasions - two of which were from remote Scottish areas. A really reassuring efficient service.

Not Sheild. They quoted me over £4.4k a year 😂😂. Went with Comfort who charged £284 in the end. It’s worth doing an internet quote, then calling and speaking to someone. They reduced my internet quote by over £100 and reduced the excess without me asking.

Comfort are brokers and not good when you need to claim. They just pass you on to aviva who don’t really care.

The trouble with insurance is you never know how good a broker or company are until you need to claim and for most, that never happens, thankfully.
I just look what's available and at what price and make a choice.
No problem so far.

I went with saga reasonable price over 3years I was originally with comfort but when I had a windscreen crack in Germany the said you pay we will refund you when you get home .it was 3000 euro that ruined my holiday ,and nobody would put me through to the manager ,so I changed .Niesmann were so helpfull I had to ringfriends for the money. Itcost over3000 euro but that was their limit .I would have liked to stay with them as they are motor homers but I didn’t want to be in that position again .

Getting there!
Another vote for NFU. Easy to make changes/add driver for example, mods made not an issue (up plate/ levellers and air in our case). Don’t think they require a tracker/ alarm either?

Saga were brilliant when someone ran in to us in Austria, super efficient and also one of the cheapest. I have not taken it up but they also offer a fixed price guarantee for 3 years if you want. I have three cars with them and always beat them up at renewal, just paid £111 for a 3 litre BMW fully comp, can't complain at that! Motorhome was £169 from memory, again fully comp and £50K van.

Were with Safeguard for 11years then premium went up and got an equivalent cover for £140 less. No reason my end for such an increase. They would budge on price.

18 years s Motorhome (33years caravans)
We have been with Saga for a few years now after hearing of First hand excellent service, we have had to use the breakdown cover twice once a puncture they were amazing and had us going in just over three quarters of a hour from call out, the other was home start again very efficient quick service.
We have the 3 year option with the extras and as Eddie is now 80 at £480 for full cover we are happy with the service we have had from them

We're with NFU - they don't require a tracker and give full windscreen cover. However, the cover offered does vary from branch to branch. NFU Chichester is one of the best for A class vehicles.
