We are debating whether to go to the Algarve who is there and how is the weather plus where is the best place.(that means cheap)

Yes we are at monta rota 4.5 €a night but every where full police moving vans on

We left on Tuesday, the temperatures were in mid twenties, but I did see a cloud in the sky at the weekend, not everybody believes me but I can assure you I did see one.
The best place is cheap but I can't mention it here.

If you travel up through Portugal at all, call into the lovely aire in Barril de Alva. It’s free to stay, but you pay for leccy and water. Water tap free in the village.

Give us a shout if in the area, you might get invited for a cuppa.

We are at Castro Verde weather has been sunny and warm last three weeks and set fair it’s about 60 miles from Portamao.(y)(y)(y)

We're at silves, beautiful weather, going to ferragudo tomorrow, free parking next to the beach, no facilities but Lidl and other shops near by

We just spent three days at Manta Rota leaving this morning.
On top of the €4.50 you also pay 50 cents tourist tax per adult( for a maximum of seven days) and €2.50 for 12 hours electric( if you can get it or want it )

Those that parked outside overnight were not moved on . ( about 15 each night)

.
You are more than welcome. Yes, it would be good to catch up.

The two don’t go together really, do they! Are you looking for the best place, or the cheapest place! And both also depend on what you want!

Btw, the weathers great. I too saw a cloud yesterday, so dashed into a bar in case it rained.........It didn’t. ;)

We'll be moving over to the Algarve for a few weeks mid April going to call in Alvor & Lagos and check out Mikkies Place after good reviews :-)

We're at ferragudo and all motorhomes have just been given notices to quit by the 27th March as the site is being developed into a marina and will be fenced off , shame , it's a great spot

Camping Albufeira has a few spaces that we can see, it’s a very large site.

We're going to be in the Algarve sometime next week (or the week after). Not been there for years so expect to see a difference.

We have friends who live near Monchique so we'll be having some time there.

Might try Mikkis place though. What's the availability there atm?

One off the warmest Marches for a while. Most places are thinning out now so you should have plenty of choice. Cost depends on what you really want. There seems to be a bit of a reaction to the less attractive habits of some wild campers. If the GNR tell you to move accept the advice politely and go and you should have no problems, they can impose on the spot fines and re getting smarter at dealing with foreigners. There is a wide range of camping places from free to around 15 a night the choice is yours. There are car parks you can overnight on but it is only parking, no chairs tables awnings etc. You will be very welcome and the cost of living is very good.
