Ants

Don’t think its much better in the uk currently from what I’ve been told.

When we had Ants in the van they were coming in via the hook up cable through the so called sealed battery box, i put a lot of washing up liquid on the cable and that stopped them.

Pour a circle of cold black coffee around the moho . Apparently they follow the chemical scent . And if it doesn’t work let me know and I will laugh ;-)

sorry

We used to get ant killer powder and spread it all outside the van and under it to try to deter them.

We then didn’t have any problems. As others have said fly spray around access points into the van will keep them at bay.

Lift cable off ground . Mind as trip hazard.
If you can get it put ant powder around wheels and around mat / ground sheet. Also white vinegar is a deterrent. Mercadona may have it or Carrefour Vinagre blanco destilado. 50 50 water they don't like it.

your done for when you lose your humour
and tbf, plenty folk gave you good advice before you fellout your pram anyway which you didnt think to thank for.
how much advice do you need about ants .
And killing them releases pheromones which attract other ants, be careful where / how you kill them.
Finally if all else fails put some signs up in spanish and english just in case..NO ANTS beyond this point

lifes too short

Our friends had similar when they parked with a low hanging leafy branch just touching the roof. They were either in Spain or France. Go to the local shop which sells ant killer, the Spanish/French stuff is more potent than ours. You will, I think, have to move somewhere where you can completely empty the MH and treat,

If you are on an " ant route" then you will need to move. Even if you pour ant powder all around the van in a giant circle they will only go around & as soon as the powder is disturbed they will go back to the original route. #gustheantwatcher

** you need to get some powder

I recommend these. Probably work with giant ants as well as miniature ants. 🐜🐜 You need extra large if you're wearing shorts.

Calm down

what I mean is the ants come on via the EHU, so I loop the cable through a bowl of water and they don’t make the journey.

nowt to do with electrocuting them

was trying to be helpful

We had an invasion of ants while in France a couple of years ago. As you say it is mind destroying !

We got some ant powder and a tube of anti-ant gel, put the powder round the van and the gel in areas where we thought the ants were favouring in the MH. After about three days we declared victory ! But found lots of the dead little buggers in nooks and crannies for ages afterwards, as well as one or two live diehards !

They will find loads of ways into your MH that's for sure.

any ideas wife going off her head .

Sorry.. I know you are not seeing the humour but it is hard to resist... A big boy made me do it and then ran away..................
