Just an update! We arrived in Bilbao for the antigen test and took the van into the centre of town. Be warned there is no parking available for a large van, but car sized spaces were seen.
We parked in the Autocaravaning Kobetamendi site (15€) that overlooks Bilbao, but get there early as the site was full by 4pm and queues formed outside!
The reception called a taxi for us, less than 10€ each way (and our dog had to be in a carrier), but there is also a regular bus that goes into the city from the site, and dogs must be in a carrier.
The clinic was really efficient, no english spoken by the reception but the testers do speak english, and our results were ready an hour later.
Boarding the ferry no problem, but a 5 hour delay gave worries that our test 48 hour validity would run out. Arrived 2330 into Portsmouth with 30 mins to spare!
Make sure that you have copies of your locator form to hand, otherwise no issues arriving in the UK.
