Hello,
The radio antenne on my fiat ducato has loosened. It should always be in an upright postion, but it isn't. See pictures (it's a little bit difficult to see as the front of the fiat is also grey).
How can I fix this without having to disasemble the front or dashboard?

Front wing removal to get at the securing nut.
Not enough room to access it from underneath.
It's not accessible from under the dash or anywhere else inside the van.

Yes, but that is very difficult to access. It looks like there is a hinge, but I do not dare to "operate" it. I'm afraid it will break. But maybe in that way it is possible to loosen the antenne, and put glue behind the fixture.

I would be running a small amount of glue behind the fitting initially, if it doesn't work you haven't lost anything.

Gorilla glue ... for the vegans, vegetarians etc, no gorillas were harmed in the making of the glue ... now as for when they used to make cow gum ...!

Funny but my first thought was Gorilla Glue as well.. But be careful of excess cos it can make a right mess !
If you do use it, excess can be removed with medical alcohol before it goes rock hard

I never heard of Gorilla glue. I do not think itis available by that name in the Netherlands. Nevertheless, I also think that trying to put some glue behind is worth trying.

Using glue is a bit of a bodge, and you are buggered if you want to change antennas in the future.

Pop the headlight out and see if you can access the nut from inside the wing. lots of tutorials on youtube on headlamp removal, quite easy I think. they slide to the right after removing the screws then come out but just see if you can see behind the headlamp first.

Remove offside headlamp, five minutes work. Then you can get to the rear of that panel easily and tighten the fitting that holds the aerial in place. It quite possibly needs a good ground connection to the bodywork to work effectively and you won't get that fixed with glue.

D.

Removed the headlight and was able to turn the nut about 5 times. Its fixed now; thanks for the good suggestions.

Is this style of aerial on the latest vans better than the rubbishy one built into the mirror and is it suitable for DAB? I'd like to fit a DAB unit to my van but don't particularly want to clutter up the screen with a separate aerial on there. I assume the mirror one doesn't do DAB anyway. Our van is a 2015/6 X290.

My aftermarket DAB screen aerial is routed behind the A pillar and the visible bit is tiny and transparent.
