Just read in another group there is A new Fiat recall for Euro6 vehicles for a Clip on intercooler pipe.

I checked my Fiat Camper App yesterday and it was showing Green, but today it is showing Red.

I've phoned my local Fiat professional dealer and they are investigating and are going to get back in touch with more details.
I'll report once I have more information.

My van is a Sept 16 build Euro6 x290 Fiat 150hp comformatic gearbox with 8000 miles on the clock has had the ECU and EGR recalls addressed already.

I wonder if it is only the Euro 6 engine affected?

I have a so-called Euro 5+ X290, registered end of June 2016.

Me too - thanks for sharing! keep us posted on what they say! Wonder if its anything to do with the Tape wrap that seems to be hanging down under the engine bay on so many Ducatos!

One of the first things to go on our 2005 Ducato was the clip on one of the larger pipes, I think the turbo pipe. The engine lost power but kept going enough to get it to a service station. It was some weird Fiat own brand fitting that couldn't be tightened with a simple screwdriver. It was replaced at the roadside with a jubilee clip and after that I always carried a spare jubilee clip. A couple of years ago it went again on the Brum toll road so I pulled in after the pay barrier and just fixed it with a screwdriver. They slowly work loose, and as they do, the engine performance is gradually affected until they pop.

Can't help wondering if this is a similar issue?

Was in Travelworld on Friday having some warranty stuff done, they also did the EGR while it was there (the whole job was planned since last December so it wasn’t a case of they just happened to have the bits lying around)

Anyhow they told me when I picked it up that there is another recall, to do with a couple of clips and the throttle body. So booked in again, but not going until June when they are doing the damp test/spray for warranty purposes. They showed me the “how to Fix It Again Tomorrow” document, looks like a jubilee clip that holds something to the throttle body (probably an air pipe as it looked too big to be a fuel fed), and another plastic clip further down the line that keeps pipes tidy.

They seemed quite relaxed that I was leaving it 6 months to be sorted..

Thanks everyone for the heads up on this latest recall. I have been on to my local Fiat Professional Dealer, its the first time they have seen this one as I think it was issued today? The recall is for a clip (or strap?) to be re-placed on a pipe adjacent to the throttle body. They suggest it is done sooner rather than later as the problem could result in significant loss of power.
They have ordered the part and I'm booked in for next Monday, the job should take about one hour and they will do it while I wait.
Good luck!

Collected mine after having the EGR pipe recall done on Friday and was told about the other recall concerning the clip, tbey said that the parts were on the shelf so carried out the work. On Sunday I was cleaning the van and found this clip in the drivers footwell, sent them a photo and they didn't know how it got there but said that it wasn't part of the recall

It Looks like a cable fastener, Chances are it`s been there since the factory lodged behind some part or cable run, and worked its way out over time?. I`ll be surprised if it caused any issues. It might be worthwhile looking under the dash but the "peg" bit does not look as if it has ever been clipped up.

Yep, it's definitely a new clip and would have found it prior to going in to the garage, but as you say it should not cause any further problems, fingers crossed.

What App. are you talking about?

I have checked the Gov.uk. recall list and cannor see the mods you refer to.

Having a Ducato Euro 6, and embarking on a ten week European tour at the beginning of March I would like be to sure we have everything covered.

Hi @maison

It's the Fiat Camper Assist App which most of us use. Once downloaded you can input your chassis number and it will tell you if there is a recall on your van.

All the best,

Andrew

Thanks to all that replied. I have tried to download the app for my iPad but entering “Fiat Ducato” or “Fiat Ducato Camper” simply gets the message “No results”.

What am I doing wrong?

@maison

It is an IPhone app. When you get "no results", on the top of your screen you will see "IPad". Click this and select "IPhone", and you should be able to download it onto your IPad

Cheers

Couldn’t do that. No obvious way to access iPhone app on ios11.

Used my wife’s older model iPad, running ios10, to download app. It tells me that there is a recall on my vehicle but doesn’t specify what it is.

Is there a quick way to find out?
