Welcome to the world of Fun.

We still run our fridges and freezers on gas, so not a lot has changed over the years. 😀👍🏻

What type of water heater is it?

We use a kettle most of the time. Electric and/or gas.

What an opportunity to make it your own inside. So many inspirational ideas on YouTube and so easy these days to re-cover and paint tired furnishings.
Good Luck and keep us posted.

Hello and welcome, I Don’t think I’d do the power steering upgrade (assuming it can be done) until you’ve at least driven it around a bit as there might well be other reasons why the steering is heavy, you might well require a donor van that you could swap things over from, I think the main 3 things it would need are the pump and the rack, and I would imagine a steering column. Good luck anyway (y)

If I was going to assist the steering I would be using the Corsa 'B' electric steering box & the 25 pound adjustable reglator to vary the assistance. DIY the bits will cost you around £150 but you do need to either be a competent welder or know someone who is or there are a couple of places that fit them Gloucester way for aroun £600
