one of our ceiling light bulbs/strips has packed up in our 2007 built 2008 registered swift bolero. There's a plastic cover and a surround and we can't see where either pops off.
Can anyone help pls. And why the heck don't they include this vital info in the manuals?

Like @cornish boy says. A photo will help to identify the type of fitting.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. We'll give it a go. Yes she is. She's 3 years old, stubborn as a mule and totally adorable. Thinks she was put on this earth for everyone to love her - and of course they do. Sleeps on our bed in the Moho and is a pain in the neck

Yes, you very gently ease the lens bit on the edge with a fine bladed knife to dislocate the small locking tab. But, as suggested, don't try it if it's very cold, the plastic ages and becomes brittle so you need to be VERY gentle. I've had to do it a couple of times, fortunately without breaking anything.

The replacement light strips are available at most DIY places for not a lot but I've replaced mine with LED types I got at a show - last much longer and a brighter light, but of course cost quite a bit more.

We've now prised the cover off but not sure whether we also need to take the surround down. We're wondering if there are spade connectors under there. Any advice pls. Pictures attached

Nope, just unclip the tubes and the connectors just push onto the ends. Doesn't seem to matter which way round they go.
