Sorry--read so much about sat navs today my eyes are giving out.

Was going to buy a new sat nav for m/home where I could put in height, weight etc.... Also want one that would beep (or whatever) if I go over speed limit.

Have used a TOMTOM One Europe for over 4 years--never had a problem with it. Seen online that it is possible to upgrade some Tomtoms to truck ones. One site says buy a new card (SD?) to put in it.

Anyone any experience of this? Or failing that just tell which is best make/model to buy as I've now got technical info overload.

Thanks as always from the technically challenged one.

There is some very good kit on the market these days. I purchased my TomTom 920 several years ago and I'm still quite happy that it is as good as most without spending a fortune.

I would just get a new card for yours and download the updates

So long as you realise there is no such thing as a REAL WORKING AS YOU WOULD WANT IT TO truck or large vehicle navigation devise
They can only work by only sending you down what are LEGAL HGV suitable roads many are legal but still not wide enough, it wont keep you out of trouble all the time
No one has been around europe physically measuring the roads:Doh:
It will do very little more than your TT one set to fastest route:Doh:
Apart from all the new lane guidance and live traffic stuff of course
Geo
PS stick with TT my choice every time
PS im waiting for one that will do as its name suggests:Angry:
