Hi There fellow Funsters
I’m thinking of getting a second Thetford cassette for those times when one might just be needed as I wild camp quite a bit. My cassette is a C200 S WH without wheels and with SOG fitted, now I’ve seen newer ones with wheels without SOG.

My first question is will the one with wheels fit into my cassette compartment without alteration to the compartment, and my second question is can the new cassette be converted to SOG as I can’t seem to find a cassette to buy with SOG already fitted.
Many Thanks Tony

Why not just buy a decent grey waste container that’s all I use ?

Hi There thanks for the reply, I did think of that but would rather go down the way I have chosen if possible. But thanks for your input.
Best Wishes Tony

You will have to convert your new cassette to Sog. We have two cassettes and all I do is change the emptying cap over as the Sog fan connects through the cap.

Hi Speve
Mine is different from yours the sog connector goes into a green elbow which is on the top of the tank itself and not like yours into the emptying cap. If mine was like yours it would be easy just as you say to change the emptying cap each time. Thanks for you input. Best Wishes Tony

The elbow is available separately.. I had to fit one on our new cassette..
Now the useless info bit..I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the supplier...I got it off eBay for about £3 !

Hi Jaws thanks for that so in effect you have answered two questions, the fact a new cassette can be converted and also the elbow is available separately.
I was wondering if you could answer another question which has come up whilst looking at C200 cassettes with wheels,
I see there is left hand and right hand cassettes and it gives you instructions of how to decide which yours is i.e When you are sat on the toilet inside the caravan or motorhome,

"if the wall to the outside of the caravan/motorhome is on your left then you have a left-handed toilet. If the exterior wall is on your right then it is a right-handed toilet."
But in mine the wall is behind me so I'm not sure which one I need any Ideas.
Many Thanks Tony

I would have thought that the left/right hand only affects the shell of the compartment not the actual cassette. I may be wrong but I cannot see why there would be handed cassettes

the handed cassettes are for the bench type toilets not for the c200 which always comes out in one direction i think you can fit the wheeled ones as some one posted about the reduced capacity as the wheels are within the original profile

I changed my c200 for one with wheels and it does fit. I suppose there is a slight loss of capacity but not much.

I think the left and right hand versions only applies to the bench type toilet not the swivel bowl ones. As far as I know the cassette with wheels doesn't fit the same as the one without. Get a refresh kit with new loo seat rather than just the cassette as it is cheaper John's Cross will also give a discount to members of this forum.

Hi There thanks for that the refresh kit on John's Cross looks like it comes with wheels !!

If you go to My eBay, there is a section called ‘purchases’ and you can search through things you have bought (either visually, or using keywords) Very useful when you need another one of something!
