Another insurance question - EU/EEA cover (2 Viewers)

So.... preparing for my travels into Euroland this year, on checking through my current Insurance cover with AXA that will expire in May I note the EU cover is only for the basic minimum (Third party only cover I believe). I want to change that for the new policy.
Do any of you who do Euro travels have recommendations for Insurers who offer comprehensive ins cover (policy would be the same as cover for the UK). My trips will be less than 2x 6 weeks for this year and I am only interested in the vehicle cover, no medical stuff or breakdown etc, I have that sorted differently.

I wonder, if one has a UK policy for 3rd party, fire and theft, when a policy says 'Minimum legal cover' does one lose the fire and theft cover?

I'm with Comfort who will cover you fully comp in the EU, breakdown cover UK and EU is £65 but is optional.
