We're Aron and Amanda and as a couple have been campervanning since the back end of 2013 when we bought our little Mazda Bongo 'Rupert'.
We initially bought our Bongo after my suggestion of buying a VW camper to go away for weekends and during the school holidays (she's a teacher) met a rather confused expression. Some discussion later Amanda agreed to 'give it a go' but the prospect of spending a vast sum on a VW when uncertainties still existed just didn't sit well with her and a plan b was needed.
So after some searching on less expensive base vehicles I could convert as a temporary measure we came across the Mazda Bongo. Well we've not looked back since. 'Rupert' as Amanda quickly named him quickly became a hit and has served us very well on some lovely trips away, so much so that after Amanda decided it WAS a great idea after all the discussion of 'upgrading' to a VW came up one day. But quite quickly it became clear that even I no longer considered the VW an upgrade, sure it looked nicer from the outside, but 'Rupert' gave as so much more than a VW ever could with electric blinds and roof just the start not to mention the personal attachment.
But alas times change, and along came Charlotte our no longer so little bundle of mess & laughter and all the additional space she needs which unfortunately Rupert just can't deliver; and this is how we find ourselves at the dawn of our new adventure......Hello Motorhoming!! Hello MotorHomeFun!!!
