I have just fitted my new dump valve on my Truma and replumbed it all with quick fit fittings.
I did this because I thought the old one was faulty and leaking.
It isn't. It is in perfect working order. So if anyone is in need of a Truma dump valve please let me know. Don't ask for it if you don't need it as I will keep it as an emergency spare but if you need it now I don't mind passing it along....
Anyway, It was me that was faulty. I forgot to put an 'o' ring in the boiler hot water outlet when I installed it. It didn't leak enough so you could see it coming out but the water ran down the pipes the dripped from the bottom of the pipe onto a cable then ran to the dump valve. It looked like the dump valve was leaking because it was wet all around it but nowhere else. It wasn't until I pulled all the old plumbing out and looked at it that I noticed calcium deposits running in a line all the way down the back of the pipe to the cable...
So the Dump valve is in perfect working order and tested...
