I could get used to these free pitches, especially when they include free access to the power showers and loo block, with potable water on tap, free 240v hook up, which I declined and free marina wifi.

Visiting a ‘yachty’ friend and his wife for a catch up at a west coast marina and was given his spare pass key for the weekend.

Nearby beach for dog swimming, lovely meal at a local hotel, then back to the marina bar for several double scotches !

not long enough
We have rellies with a narrow boat and when they are in a marina we often take MH to join them for an evening

I don’t mind paying to stay but have been asked for £15 with no facilities only access to loos via rellies key

We did pay as planned to be with them I never told them how many nights and o don’t recall them asking so for 2 nights £15 wasn’t quite so bad, but not as cheap as you :)(y)

Out if interest do you know if they allow paying visitors, these marinas already set up with water and dump options could so easily be UK aires (y)

I don’t know the answer to that, but will ask the question if anyone is around later. An RV with double slide outs plugged in to a bollard last night, but I assumed they are visiting, or have a boat here.

Some Marina's have CL's or even proper sites but they usually are not "Cheap" because they are set up for caravanners not motorhomes
We stayed one night at Overwater Marina and they wanted £16 a nights with or without electric

A number of marinas in Ireland (north and south) have motorhome aires, it's a great idea.

On 3rd van so not a total newbie....
We were in Holland a while ago most marinas there have Aires and are a perfect mix for them as motorhomes and yachts have similar requirements.

@DavidG58 Eventually, the official answer is back from Kip Marina, Inverkip and it's a resounding NO to allowing motorhomes in to use the facilities on payment or otherwise.
They are happy for marina members or their guests to use the facilities free of charge.

Not a friendly place unless you are a member, their slip for small boats is a joke. Very expensive and you need to give them fair warning if wanting to use it so they can clear it of debris,so I’am not surprised at their attitude toward motorhomes.
