Nothing can be built constructed within 100m of the high water line under the Ley de la Costas(1989). within 200m even existing stuff is on dodgy ground & up to 500m the permissions are likely to see you die before obtaining.
+ gov.es department skulks around picking on individuals & issuing illegal demolition orders for stuff that has been in existence for 200 years.
That's good news to the local town and campaigners. The beach was a lovely, unspoilt spot, until the owner of the disputed land started to encourage motorhomes. We were sort of hoping that a legal, well run, camper parking would be set up there. It would have been a lovely place to stay for a few nights. Unfortunately, it was all done without permission.
The local council has also expropriated more land along that coast to clear out the squatting motorhomers, and three houses, also built illegally.
