It would be 1A (well slightly less). Not 1A per hour, which doesn't make sense (that unit would actually represent the acceleration of current usage, which is irrelevant to this situation). If you ran a 1A device for one hour, it would use 1Ah. A 12V 10A festoon bulb would use approximately 21Ah, assuming all the wattages and voltages were the same as their rated values).
I know it’s a typo, but you keep continuing confusing the guy. A fest on bulb it’s 10W nor 10A. Even a headlight bulb of 55w does not draw 10A, only a 4,5A.

Good spot! I've edited it out!

Does this statement suggest a lack of understanding of solar panels?

Went to bed last night. leasure batteries were reading 10.8 when went to bed last night, now reading 13.6 when we got up, which suggest the solar panel is working.

My understanding of it is: when he went to bed, the batteries was reading 10,8v. In the morning the solar woke up and raised the voltage to 13,6v by the time op got up.

Suggests the opposite, ie he understands what solar panels do.

Just to bring closure and a big thanks all of those who took the time to respond to the many many questions I asked last week.

I wrongly assumed the original batteries were of the GEL type when in fact they were Lead Acid. I carried out the bulb test as suggested by ChrisL and Richard n Ann, the results were not good, after 25hours 1 battery was reading 5.9 the other 5.1. I purchased 2 new 130Ah Leoch lead acid batteries, and can report that over the weekend at the Lincoln show the lowest they went was 86% capacity at the end of each day. Mind you as those of you at the show will know we had almost end to end sunshine until 6am this morning.

A genuine thanks to everyone that took the time to respond.
