Can anyone help please?

We are currently just north of Avignon and have had good dry hot weather for the last week and are due to go to Annecy next week but are reluctant if the ground is still waterlogged has anyone been there recently?

The Annecy weather is very much the same as we have here and it was raining until last Saturday but dry since with 20+ degrees since Monday. Ground here now fairly dry but moist, ready for some gardening....

Not sure where you plan on going but we like the sites in Talloires on the south of the lake.

We were there last year. The usual aire was chocablock but we found somewhere at the far end of the lake (about a mile from town) where a sign said no motorhome overnight parking but a French neighbour said "pas probleme". In other words, take no notice. Lovely cycle path beside lake into the town and just across from McDonalds for free wifi.

We have just left that aire, there is only space for about 10 mhs and you will need to be there early if you want to be sure of a space. Prepare for it to be full by 3.00pm and arrive as early as you can.
