Update on one of the previous good guys.Priors Leaze Vets quoted me £65 earlier this year.Today they said it would be £175.
I have now booked an appointment with PassPets 26 Langstone High Street,Havant PO9 1RY.They charge £98 .The initial paperwork is emailed to you to fill in the details with photos of current passport info.
They have good feedback.
My vet just around the corner from Prior Leaze quoted me an extra £65 dog more than a few months back🤬🤬
Spoke to Guy today from PassPets and he sent me the forms to fill out, can get both dogs done for the price of one at my vets😁
Off to see them on 15th October.

Hi, I've just signed up to post this link:

That's one of the "good guys", now charging £250 for the first pet and £50 for any additional pets (up to a maximum of 5).
Travelling with 2 animals means 300 AHC + ~100 (or more) for rabies: minimum £400, and it lasts 4 months, basically single travel.

I think the other "good guys" prices should be updated, as I think they've all increased their prices.

http://www.animalhealthcertificate.online and https://www.passpets.co.uk/ are apparently still charging £99.

This thread was started back in Feb when the AHC system was very new. I don’t believe any of the original ‘good guys’ have kept to their original prices, which becomes clear if you read the whole thread. The two vets you list only set up their specialist AHC services in late July, see below:

The thread started in February but there are updates until September, there are also reaction while the prices are increasing through the year. Apparently you're assuming I didn't read the thread but I did, if there's any mention this "good guys" have increased their prices I've missed it, I just wanted to update for those who, like me, thinks the initial post is kept updated, like when somebody mentioned a vet in Peterborough which has been eventually removed because of the wrong prices reported.

See posts #9, 20, 24, 50, 57 and 60 in this thread. All are referring to increases in original ‘good guy’ prices or, in one case, that the particular vet is no longer offering this service.

On this forum, you can only edit a post for (I think) up to 30 minutes. So there is no way that the original post in this thread will be updated.

Unfortunately Paul Jarman Veterinary Surgeries, Norfolk. Is now charging £110 (August 2021)

I have discovered that many vets are feeling embarrassed about being greedy crooks and are trying to pretend that DEFRA is making a charge of £100 - £200 to register a certificate once the vet has done their 15 – 20 minutes of work.

Anyone know of an honest vet in Norfolk?

I know. I’ve done it.
Do you need a fixed EU address? We travel very regularly to EU (France, Belgium, Spain, Germany) but in the motorhome; we do not have a fixed address?

No address requested when we got ours. I think you either lie and provide any address, or keep trying different vets until you find one that isn’t bothered

5. Vets4Pets, County Road, Hull, E Yorks: £33.00 consultation + £12.50 AHC = £45.50 (assume for 1 pet but may cover more)

They are charging £12.50 for the AHC plus a consultation which is £33.00 - he didn't ask if the AHC charge was for a single dog or not so I'm assuming it's per dog, although happy to be 'surprised' by them if it's just per certificate (up to 5 dogs).
Hi, Ive just phoned them to check and they now charge £174.95 so its gone up a bit unfortunately.

Hi and welcome to the Fun! :welcome3:

This is an old thread (started in Feb last year) so if you wade through it you will find that all of the prices have gone up considerably. There are a couple of vets that have introduced a streamlined AHC service at what now passes for a reasonable price of around £100 - PassPets at Havant and Abbeywell at Folkestone. Other than that there have been a few vets mentioned that charge similar prices - Dales Vets in Otley comes to mind.

It seems there are a few threads about this AHC price issue on here. I've only started to look since my quote from my usual local vet in Faversham Kent went from £150 in June to £280 yesterday when I tried to book an appointment at the end of the month.
Well worth a few quid in diesel/petrol and go to Abbeywell In Folkestone.

We live in Weston super Mare and Green Pastures vets here were charging £105 a couple of years ago. We have a Spanish passport for our dog. To get him abroad we were travelling from Portsmouth so got AHC from Passpets in Havant who were excellent.

UptheGas . No its not impossible to get a EU pet passport. I got one in Ireland. Others have got them from a vet in Belgium. Spain and Portugal seem to issue them OK. I think France is a problem now. There have been a few vets who have joined the likes of Abbey well and Passpets in offering cheaper AHCs. One was in Scotland abd another I think in the Midlands. If you do Facebook there is a group on there that has posts on AHCs and also EU pet passports.
