From what I can tell from Google, Angles Mort stickers have never been compulsory in Spain or Portugal is that correct? We are over 3500kg, I did read that the Spanish were introducing their own version but not compulsory yet, is that also correct?

We have been to Spain and also Portugal on separate trips driving through France in last 12 months and not had any stickers on the van at all and not stopped or challenged at all in any country😊 we are 4500kg + car trailer🤔

I’d rather not have them on, until there is an accident!

SWMBO insists I do run with them on in France, they are hastily taken off when in Spain and re attached when travelling back through France.

Hoping to be lucky! Why bother with insurance, save loads of money if you are lucky you will not to be asked for it.
My gripe about Angles Mort is not putting the sticker at the back on the passengers side on right-hand drive vehicles, my blind spot.

Have just received the reflecto suction ones that will live in the garage until needed, if ever😉

We have them on. We drove down through France to Spain in Jan and returned last week. Still have them on. If it saves the life of a suicide jockey on a bike it is worth it. If an accident does unfortunately occur I will not have my goolees twisted by the Gendarmes and I will be legal for the roads in France so therefore insured.

No doubt there are plenty that have never fitted them but it's not what I'm wanting to know. For the sake of a set of stickers at around a tenner why not just obey the law? If a cyclist runs into you do you really need the hassle. I know some say they keep them in the glove box but that's a bit like life jackets, useless unless worn 😀

The stickers won’t save the life of a suicide jockey, you will (or not, as the case may be).

You will still be held responsible whether you have stickers, or not.

But they might made the cyclist think.

I may very well be responsible. But if they are killed I will be insured by having a compliant vehicle.

I honestly cannot see the fuss over some stickers? Yes they are bright yellow, that's so they can be seen and seeing that I am not entering a concourse competition looks do not account for much.
