We loved Malta but since starting our adventures in a M/H 13 years ago, we have not flown any where. Do not fancy taking M/H there but we are thinking about a return visit sometime in the future. My dad was there in the Royal Marines in 40,s and 50,s, at various times and the history is fascinating. just catching up on your posts and it has wet the appetite for it again. Sorry for your tragic loss and thanks for the posts.

Mick Kennedy I am so sorry to read about your Son, what a devastating thing to happen, please accept my sincere condolences, albeit late.

I hope you and your wife are ok, reunited with your motorhome or settled at home. Inadequate words, but you have my deepest sympathy.

Thank you, Mousy, that is kind. Everyone has been lovely to us, not least here on the Funster site.

As a footnote, Gus's death took the shine off Australia for us, so after 22 years there we sold up and have moved back to the UK where are other two boys now live with the grandkids. We're buying a place in Chester. We left Oz in July and flew back to Malta to pick up the van, had a two-week holiday there with all the family flying over from the UK, then we made our way back to Chester.
