Got the van home on Thursday...... Had previously measured to make sure it fits on the drive...

Pulled up on the drive ......yes - fits!! Ah says my good wife...... I don't want it blocking the light in the living room.... Hmmm....

On to eBay and got some plastic vehicle plates to put on the grass... Spent all morning digging up the turf, placing the plates and then putting turf back down... Backs killing me... Either that of I've got my vest tucked in too tight to my knickers...

Everybody happy now... Light into living room and space on the driveway.

Tomorrow we start filling it with all the bits and bobs..for our first trip next weekend..

So much fun!

We measured ours to fit on the drive before we bought it. Idiot features here forgot about the A Class bus mirrors instead of fold-in ones on a coach built........ Brick pillar one side and wall the other side - stressful reverse up a slope. About 3" spare each side.

And it blocks up part of the drive...... Never mind. Enjoy the van (y)

We moved house to get parking for the MH.
But did you dig up all the grass in the garden? Lawns and MHs don't go together as you have to keep cutting the stuff which prevents you going away.
Our "lawn" is made of granite chippings!

My wife wanted to keep some grass at the front....to look nice....

3/4's is under the van, the remainder looks like the remnants from a Brazilian waxing....

But who am I to argue...

Some years ago my wife had a career change.... She went to college and retrained as a beauty terrorist....

For 2 years whilst she was at college, I was the test bed......

I've been rubbed down, massaged, defluffed, hot stoned, plucked, stretched and marinaded.......

All for love..... ;)

Well done - gold star well earned!

OH will sympathise, he's dug out approx. 9 tonne of stone by hand o_O to widen our drive and we don't even own a moho yet

But 2nd view/test drive tomorrow......

Have you planned where you're going at the weekend or is it a point and drive jobby?

Well done your hubby....sounds like a well deserved beer is in order....

Our first trip is next weekend...not too far, we are going to a camp near Bourton on the Water. Me, the beauty terrorist and the 7 year old puppy... ( Golden retriever called Indy...).

Really looking forward to it.

Good luck with your viewing tomorrow.

Thank you..

It is quite amazing how excited we have become about owning a motorhome... We just can't wait to hit the road...

I think I've convinced the beauty terrorist that we should plan to spend New Years Eve in Buster ( name chosen by the BT but it's full pedigree name is Buster Bank Balance.....).

Anybody got any ideas for a good location on NYE in the South?

Now oh has recovered, yep a few beers helped, he is excited, we both are tbh.

We love the New Forest - never been at New Year but any time is fab.

Great name by the way

Have a great time.

Good luck with that viewing, Debs
Thanks Andy, fingers crossed :)

You lucky, lucky man...

I used to have to pay a small fortune for "treatment" like that in a little place near Kings Cross.

As well as being free, at least I had the benefit of knowing I was being "treated" by a real woman..... ::bigsmile:
