Got our MHF aid memoir ready for setting off on the roads
It looks like it will work well

Good idea, another one was from a funster that puts some Red insulation tape on the right hand side of his steering wheel.
I also have the the MPH to KPH aide memoir on the dash, as no way can I see the speedometer in daylight so rely on the Garmin especially knowing how many fines we lot seem to be getting caught out with since the speed reductions and new cameras were placed everywhere.
Have fun on your travels, I am envious.

With advancing years and having driven in France and Spain for several months at a time I try to remember:

In the UK drive with me towards the middle of the road (easier to overtake), abroad drive with me in the gutter

Problems don't tend to happen in the morning but when you stop for coffee/lunch and not on a motorway. Very easy to slip into holiday mode and back on the left.

Its easy i had loads of scaremongering before i went 6 years on would rather travel(drive )over there,my sat nav keeps reminding me,nothing to worry about apart from the cost of fuel compred to what it was,

Have a super dooper time , how long you away for ?
Have you got plans or just go with the flow

Julie has a Michelin map book of France and in there , there are some stickers of Michelin men with arrows and I have three of them around my windscreen.

. Its not there you have to worry about. It's when you get back...

After half an hour stuck in roadworks on the M20 you soon get the hang of which side of the road to be..

Do not use the Aires de Camping car - we don't want another Brit clogging them up and taking my space.

Three overnight stops on Aires so far ( 25 more to go) and it's cost me €4 in total - absolute robbery.

Three point turns used to be my downfall.

Always ended up on the wrong side

Bon journee

I think everyone who drives on the right for the first time has some trepidation, so don't worry yourself too much over it. You'll certainly be alert which is good!

One tip - when you refuel, try and pick a garage on the same side of the road as you're travelling. 'Wrong way' accidents frequently seem to occur when you're doing something that involves a routine, such as coming off the driveway at home or indeed, refuelling, and because you've done it hundreds of times before, it's easy to just drive out of the garage without thinking...

Otherwise, by and large, traffic density will be less so you'll have more time to take things in (y)

Just going with the flow Duktaz64 planning about 4 weeks and have no date booked to go home. Heading south towards Orleans today. Maybe we get there maybe we don’t. Had a peaceful stop at cite Europe last night to try and decide where to go first.

I have seen loads of references to this place but no-one ever mentions the excellent museum of old vehicles there, it's a massive collection of all sorts of vehicles from bikes to aeroplanes, it is also a France passion but no-one checks and you can stay the night.

Damn ....... we were there for 2 days on the way down and I never knew it was there  Did wonder why there were so many fab sports cars in the main car park when we were there...... maybe an organised visit.

Actually didn’t get as far as Orleans. Stopped at Chartres. A lovely spot. The cathedral is amazing and. Old town great to wander round. It’s the festival of light here on Saturday if anyone is this way. We move on again
Was going to post some pictures but WiFi too slow

We are a bit south of you on way to somewhere, think we may end up in Portugal.

This is our trip do far.

And the fourth night free in Chartres .....

Thank you the Mairie in Chartres.

Sounds interesting, we normally stop in the car park by the sports ground just down the road from the campsite. About a mile walk along the river to town.
