Having done a couple of short trips away in my new venture Surf I am afraid that there is a problem with the view from the passenger window when turning right at a junction that is angled to the right and not a 90 degree turn. As you can see in the picture the window in the habitation cab too high to see out of and the passenger window does not allow a view of traffic from the left no matter how far I lean forward. Twice now I have had to pull out and pray nothing is approaching from the left, an accident would be totally my fault.
Is there a solution to this, IE a camera fitment or mirror? Any advice would be appreciated

You’ll have to do what the white van drivers do…..as you approach the white line, angle your van so that you can see to the left. Possible on most junctions but tricky if more than one lane!

We have a 7.5m long LHD and always pull up as square to junction as I can even if I take up an extra lane that way you can see 🤔😊

This is the age old problem with vans, always been the same, and maybe you have wondered why the van in front of you at junctions sets themselves up to turn left even though they are turning right, you have got to think of this everytime you coming to a junction, go out as wide as you can and then try to aim your van to the left so that you are further out on your side, also don't forget your indicators else you may get someone coming up your outside thinking you are going left.

Why not get one of those extra mirrors the caravanners use in their cars? Might look a bit hilarious but might be the best and easiest solution.

I have one junction on the way home from North Devon, it is my personal nightmare and I always depart early in the hope of less targets on the road.

As suggested, I get as much left hand swing/turn on at the junction so as to have the best visual angle.

I oppen the windows so that I can listen for oncoming traffic.

I gentle ease my way across the road giving anyone in the blind spot plenty of time to slow down and sound their audiable warning device.
