It was announced the Alvin Stardust Died today at the age of 72. From metastatic Prostate Cancer.
Those that attended the rally at Lincoln and that went to the Show, would have notice that he was looking very poorly there and it is a mark of the kind of performer he was that he carried out his performance regardless. Many will want to pay tribute to a man who has entertained millions of people in his long career.

First I'd heard of his passing, one of the nicer, if that's the right word, artists of the seventies, very sad to see another one go.

Nope it was The Kraal. As for my age I become a state pensioner in the New year!

I was saddened to read of his death and my condolences go out to his family. We saw him at the Club Tropicana in Chapel St Leonards and he was brilliant and at the end of the night he was standing at the door talking to everyone as they left. True professional.

Not Long Enough.
When a teenager, remember seeing him & the Fentones at the Aberaman bug-hole in Aberdare. They were a good rock'n'roll act.
