My Missus is a keen firework fan, so we've seen pyrotechnics and son et lumieres in quite a lot of places across Europe in our time. She still reckons that the end of season display at Alton Towers is among the very best, and I'm inclined to agree with her.
Here's half a dozen snaps I captured on my mobile yesterday evening - I couldn't be arsed lugging the DSLR around the park all day.
PS - If you can cope with rollercoasters don't whatever you do miss The Smiler, with its world record 14 inversions and a slow vertical climb halfway through. Huge fun.
