Just arrived in the algarve at albefura. Found too busy with tourists and with Easter holidays coming up . Can anyone recommend an alternative . We have come down from the north of Portugal following the coast which was beautiful with plenty of quite beaches stretching miles . Is the inland from algarve worth visiting

Thanks

You can park for free around near the port area if you want to stay in the town. Not far to walk into the old town.

Thanks we parked up above marina and it was quiet . Going to head west to Sagris and then look at going inland and north . We need dog friendly beaches and from the feel of it we will be lucky to find many along the algarve south coast .
I think we may just have missed the out of season best time to visit now seeing Airline transfer coaches in town

Every day a schoolday
Western Algarve is always quieter. Eastern Algarve also an option especially if you plan to head into Spain. Loads of quiet unspoiled dog friendly beaches in both directions.
