Hi
The Ugijar to Lanjaron road in Google maps is the E-348. We’d like to go that way to Granada tomorrow and Monday but I’m not sure if it is ok in a 7.4m van. On the map it looks ok but does anyone have experience of that road? Would it be ok in 7+ metre van?

Looks like a doddle on Google Earth, very nice run indeed, wish we had lovely tarmac roads like that one here in The UK.
Which part was worrying you, maybe I missed it?

None, but read a few other blogs who expressed some concerns, so thought I’d check first. Better to find out now.

Shouldn't be a problem at all. Just obey the traffic lights in Orgiva as the roads a bit narrow and the lights control the junction as well as traffic flow. As you leave Lanjaron (you "loop" round the bottom of it to avoid the main street - all sign posted and dead easy) close to the spa theres a fuente on the left you can fill up with for free . Probably the freshest, purest, water you'll ever drink. There's also a road side cheese shop on your left (look out for the sheep) which has some nice sherps cheese and dried meats.
A nice stop, just a bit off track, is Pampaneira where the locals make the jarapas. Excellent for mats, rugs, covers or mh floors and you'll not get them any cheaper.
