If you are trying to output the sound from a hdmi output say a firestick this will not work on the alphatronics it only works from digital TV or sat TV something to do with the digital laws in Germany.

You can use the headphone out but this kills the sound from the TV , we use a Bluetooth speaker, or just the TV when using anything connected to hdmi ports.

ah that make sense, the only input to the tv is via the hdmi connection from the oyster decoder which is hdmi and goes to the hdmi input on the tv....

there is no terrestrial aerial fitted

I could test the theory by

A: patching the feed from the satellite dish to the tv direct

B: trying an external aerial.

a job for later

Naff I know but that's your problem only outputs to av on your head unit when using anything but hdmi, can you not use the sat decoder in the TV and connect the oyster to the sat in on the alphatronics

That's how I have my oyster connected with a f plug and use the alphatronics internal decoder and plays through the headunit when set to av a treat đź‘Ť
