HERE is a link to a news article in my Spanish news that I read today. One thing that appears a little bit more informative than what I have read in other threads is the bit that suggests it is only illegal for vans to park between sunset and sunrise.

If this is correct, and likely to be so I would suggest, it means we can drive from our campsites and park up for the day by the beach or other such place without fear of a fine. 😊

If you look at the picture in the post, the people are now camping.
If you want to sit outside/ eat outside/ socialise outside great.
Just don’t try to sleep at the same spot, as you are camping and not parking.
The action of folk who think they can do this and sleep in the same location for days/weeks, then get upset about being fined.

Very good explanation here André and Lisa

Read the explanation below the video
The only thing I would be slightly hesitant to rely on with the explanation is about putting up a rising roof (ie pop-top) as one couple (residents inland) we met when we were last away told us that they had been informed by the passing police that dong so would contravene the permitted parking rules.

I walked with my dogs down to a beach in Almeria today. Yesterday there were about 8 overnighters there. Today there were none and the Civil Guard were touring around. The signs at the Beach say very clearly that Campervans and Motorhomes are only allowed to park between sunrise and sundown. You could chance an overnight, but be prepared for a knock on the door if you are unlucky.
