Several YouTubers love them and they do seem to do what it says on the tin !

I have recently fitted those wheels (MSW 48 Van) and the KO2 tyres to my Boxer based PVC and am very happy with them.
Not been used off tarmac yet but they all fit the wheel arches fine with no catching or rubbing.

Mine involved an increase in wheel size from 15” to 16” which has made my speedometer almost spot on when compared to GPS speed.

The tyres do have a different feel on the road and are slightly noisier but given it’s a van and so not a silent ride anyway it doesn’t bother me at all.

They also have quite an effect on the overall look of the van and I’ve had a view people ask about them.

Are the wheels commercial rated to take the weight? Most are not and designed for 4x4's that never venture off road

The MSW 48 Van’s are TUV certified and have a max weight of 1,350kg per wheel.

I’m still being tempted with putting these on our van, if I do take the plunge I’ll probably go to Reading and have them fitted by the company offering free fitting.

After your problems with the wheel nuts I‘ll use the ones already on our van. However, I will need a locking wheel nut as I don’t have one on my steels.

I’ve got mudflaps fitted, looking at the rear arches especially, is there enough clearance?

Ultimately I just think my black wheel bolts were too short so if you are having them fitted by the supplier hopefully they would be on top of that issue. The locking wheel bolt supplied with my wheels were fine (they were about 5mm longer than the non lock bolts). I’ve just used black caps on my existing silver bolts.

No idea (yet) on the fitting alongside mud flaps as mine don’t have them fitted - however I did order a set of mud flaps yesterday so I will find out in the next few days.

Official PSA mud flaps now fitted and yes the rear is tight but so far seems ok. Front set also seem fine even at full wheel lock.

Mud flaps were £35 a pair and the front are a different set from the rear.
Not convinced I’ve done the best fitting job so wouldn’t be surprised to lose the back ones.

It would have been much easier to fit the rear ones if the wheels were off but I wasn’t going through all faff again so I struggled but just about managed it.

I sealed the wheel arch areas and the mud trap bits with underbody seal prior to fitting the mud flaps.

Also fitted some Heko Wind deflectors.

Love your tyres! You obviously don't plan to get stuck in a muddy field!

Lovely wheels, but there goes the fuel consumption. Best wishes (y)

You'll regret it.
Had that type on my landrover discovery and Suzuki SJ410.
The road noise is horrendous but both would go places you can't imagine

So far I’ve not found the road noise to be much worse than before - after all I’m driving a rattle box on wheels.

I don’t drink or smoke so diesel is my vice and I am expecting the extra fuel costs (on top of the current madness).

I also don’t expect too much “off road” as after all it’s only a 2 wheel drive but I am hoping it will help on grass pitches and forest trail type paths.

I have already learnt to pluck the stones out of the tread as I drive off hardstanding pitches otherwise the first 1/4 mile is bang bang as they fly off (part of the reason for the mud flaps).

Front seems okay, but the rear are very tight.

I’m with you…..although I don’t smoke, I do drink a little. ;)

Car, motorcycles and now van are our hobbies. Money spent on them, along with fuel is the price we have to pay.

Having been lucky on two occasions not to get stuck on damp grass, if I’m getting meatier tyres I may as well get meatier wheels. Steels would be my wheel of choice (cheap and robust) but sometimes cosmetics comes into it. :giggle:

Having been in the army, I’m pretty used to off roading in wheeled and tracked vehicles. (y)

Fitted the same wheels but with Falken Wildpeak AT3 Tyres. (They look slightly less aggressive but same benefits and a bit cheaper than BFG)
Brilliant!
Grip is great even on wet roads. On mud and grass - a transformation. On gravel and dirt tracks - a transformation. On snow over the last couple of weeks, got us over roads I wouldn't have contemplated on my old 'mud and snow' tyres (which were crap, especially on wet grass). No discernible increase in noise except maybe a slight hum at 30mph. A totally negligible difference in fuel consumption, but I'm in a Ducato Maxi PVC, 4000kg, with roof bars, a roof box, solar panel etc. etc.
The ride is much more comfortable.
And yes - load rated, both wheels and tyres. If I go over the tyre or wheel rating, then I'm also over the maximum axle weight and so illegal - so that's not going to happen.
Weighed before we came away and well within the tolerances.
Done 5000 miles in the last 8 weeks and never changing back.
............ and they look great - if that matters??
