My lovely Ex managed to kerb one of my wheels taking a chunk out and scraping it right around the edge. Not a problem I thought, get the mobile wheel man around £60 and it will look new again. Not so easy though as they don't referb diamond cut wheels.
Did a quick google and found a firm who repair diamond cut wheels. The process is a bit complex, they have to strip all the paint from the wheel then weld any missing pieces if required then put it on the wheel lathe to skim the wheel surface, re-spraying in the original color, balanced the wheel and job done. The wheel looks fantastic all for £125. I thought that was excellent value.
