Lovely riverside aire of just 4 places and a gentle walk into a beautiful town. Secondary location about 250 metres away, just a huge car park really, no facilities.

Another good one is Froncles in Champagne. It's a campsite in all but name. €3 per night with showers, electric and laundry for small extra amounts (€1 - €2)

There's not much there though, just a small Carrefour in the town. Great place to relax for a couple of days.

That's one of our favourites too - we were there last November and had a great time.

How about Gien, small aire on the banks of the Loire. Riverside walk in to town 5 mins.
